Lot 44 Adam Kemp Grand Forks, North Dakota Build, 2025 Acrylic on canvas 63 x 34.5 inches $2,000 - 2,400 Adam Kemp was born in a village forty miles northeast of London. He earned his BFA at Newcastle in 1986 and moved to North Dakota in 1987 where he earned his MFA in sculpture from the University of North Dakota. Kemp is a resident of Grand Forks. He is well known for his bright, eclectic style throughout the Red River Valley region and public installations in downtown Grand Forks. Using skills acquired as a sculptor, Kemp makes a living building things. He finds a symbiosis between his construction work and his artwork. Sometimes it is a successful relationship; sometimes not. But he has the ability as an all around contractor to put the mistakes right. Kemp, committed to recycling materials and collaborating with people, maintains that more than ever, the process is the art.
