Lot 47 Dean Trisko Minneapolis, Minnesota Point Study 1, 2025 Acrylic on canvas 27 x 37.5 inches $2,100 – 2,300 Dean Trisko, born in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, and long time resident of Minneapolis, practices painting, drawing and printmaking. He began to paint and draw from nature as a teen using abstraction as a  method to interpret the landscape. His art encompasses a broad range of scale from small intricately crafted prints to large rhythmic paintings. The subtle interplays of color, light and space uniquely define his abstract artwork. He holds a bachelors in fine art and art education as well as a MFA in Fine Art. Teaching art is an extension of his engagement in creative thinking, having taught at Minneapolis College for over two decades. He maintains a large studio in Northeast Minneapolis where he creates and displays his art. Each year, since its beginnings, he has opened his studio to the public during Art-a-Whirl. His work has won awards in juried art competitions, shown works internationally, and been acquired for private and corporate collections. Art is a dialogue between my internal questions and the delight in the world around me.
